Peerpalm is a discovery platform — it helps you find physical shops, see what they have in stock, and get directions to their location. It is not a marketplace or payment app. We never hold your money, and we do not facilitate transactions. Protect yourself by following the guidelines below.
The golden rule
Do not transact with — or send money to — any shop you have not visited in person. Peerpalm shows you the shop and its inventory so you can go there yourself.
How to stay safe
Visit the shop before you pay
Peerpalm only helps you see shops, their inventory, and where they are. Always go to the shop in person, confirm the item, and pay there — never pay a shop you have not visited.
Never send money upfront
Do not transfer money, pay a deposit, or send mobile money (Momo/OPay) to a shop before you have seen the product in person. Peerpalm does not process any payments.
Don't share personal details in chat
Keep your bank details, card numbers, PIN, OTP, and home address out of messages. A real shop does not need them to hold an item for you.
Confirm the shop's identity
Look for the verified badge, check the address and opening hours, and use the Directions button to confirm the shop actually exists at that location.
Inspect before you buy
Check the product condition, accessories, and that it matches the listing. If something looks different from the photos, walk away.

If a shop asks for payment before a visit, pressures you, or seems fake, do not proceed — and let us know through the report/contact channels below.

When you message a shop, Peerpalm automatically scans the text for phone numbers, email addresses, and payment-related conversation. If we spot any, you will see a yellow warning in the chat reminding you to be careful. Heed it — and move the conversation to the shop premises before sharing anything sensitive or paying.
